This is not Ghostscript-class compression. MiniFyPNG re-renders each page and only labels the result as compressed when the file is actually smaller.

No. Already-optimized PDFs and text-only files often stay similar in size. We only label a download as compressed when bytes actually drop.
Does compression turn text into images?
Yes for this tool. Pages are rasterized, so selectable text may become an image. Use a different workflow if you need searchable text.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser on this device.
